Taylor Swift - Love Story

“Love Story” by Taylor Swift

We were both young when I first saw you.
I close my eyes and the flashback starts:
I'm standing there on a balcony in summer air.

See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns.
See you make your way through the crowd
and say hello;

Little did I know
That you were Romeo; you were throwing pebbles,
And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet."
And I was crying on the staircase,
begging you, 'Please, don't go.'"

And I said,
"Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.
I'll be waiting; all there's left to do is run.
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story - baby just say 'Yes.'"

So I sneak out to the garden to see you.
We keep quiet 'cause we're dead if they knew.
So close your eyes; escape this town for a little while.
'Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter,
And my daddy said "Stay away from Juliet,"
But you were everything to me; I was begging you, 'Please, don't go,'"

And I said,
"Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone.
I'll be waiting; all there's left to do is run.
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story - baby just say 'Yes.'

Romeo save me - they're tryin' to tell me how to feel;
This love is difficult, but it's real.
Don't be afraid; we'll make it out of this mess.
It's a love story - baby just say "Yes.'"

Oh, oh.

I got tired of waiting,
Wondering if you were ever comin' around.
My faith in you was fading
When I met you on the outskirts of town,

And I said,
"Romeo save me - I've been feeling so alone.
I keep waiting for you but you never come.
Is this in thy head? I don't know what to think-"

He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said,
"Marry me, Juliet - you'll never have to be alone.
I love you and that's all I really know.
I talked to your dad - go pick out a white dress;
It's a love story - baby just say 'Yes.'"

Oh, oh. Oh, oh.

'Cause we were both young when I first saw you...

Pandan Leaves at Its Finest

We went to the province over the weekend to spend some time with our other relatives. I saw my mom carrying around this small “bayong” (a fashionable alternative to plastic shopping bags).

She told me it was the province’s livelihood. They make different designs of “bayong,” be it small or big as long as it is made from dried pandan leaves.

I strolled around the neighborhood and saw one house which has been converted into a mini shop. I was amazed by the products they’re selling. I wasn’t aware that aside from “bayong,” they can make animal figures, containers and even clothes!

I was impressed by how they made a “Barong Tagalog” (a man's upper garment, usually an embroidered formal wear).

When I went to the town’s church, I noticed the gown wore by the Virgin Mary statue. It was made from dried pandan leaves and my mom’s friend made it. It was intricately designed and full of colors. Maybe someday they can make a pair of shoes or boots perhaps? Hehehe!

Restaurant City New Friends Advantage

It’s been a while since I played my Facebook’s Restaurant City game. I don’t have enough ingredients to trade, luckily, I remembered accepting a lot of friend requests lately. So I visited my new friends’ restaurants and I was able to collect so much. Not only I have more ingredients to trade, I also leveled up most of my menu. It’s really fun to receive new ingredients from first time visits. I guess I’ll just have to add more friends so that I’ll have more free ingredients!

Gerald Anderson and Wentworth Miller

I have not watched “Tayong Dalawa” for a long time. It’s probably the dragging theme and scenes that made me want to change the channel. But then, I was able to watch it last night and was surprised on how Gerald Anderson looked like. He made me remember someone, a foreign actor with the same enigmatic charm on screen.

I felt ABS-CBN was making our Gerald into a Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller). Did you notice it too? His looks matched exactlylike that of Scofield’s, especially the scenes when Gerald was sent to jail. I have nothing against Channel 2 though, because Gerald really looked great and has somehow transcend from the teeny bopper “boy next door” type into a more mature and adult role. Having said that, maybe we can expect more mature roles from him in the future. Could he be the next Piolo Pascual or Diether Ocampo? Let’s find out 3 to 5 years from now, shall we?

Michael Jackson’s Board at The Block, SM City North EDSA

It’s my sister’s birthday today and my family decided to dine out again. We went to SM City North EDSA. I was wondering why there are so many people at The Block. And then I saw Michael Jackson’s board at their activity area.

It was very really difficult to take a clear photo of the board because there were a lot of people passing by. Good thing I was able to find a good timing for my shot.

This Michael Jackson figure is really amazing!

I was able to take a closer shot of what people have to say to Michael.

This really proved that people from all walks of life definitely loved Michael so much.

Farm Town vs. Farmville

I really can’t stop playing Facebook games. I have a new baby, Farmville. It’s like Farm Town but I liked the graphics of Farmville better. What’s more interesting about this game is that I can plow the land continuously without waiting for her to finish plowing each tile (unlike Farm Town).

Facebook Farm Town

Facebook Farmville

I love the cows, horses, sheeps and cherry trees, they looked so yummy because it’s so fluffy. What I don’t like in Farmville is that sometimes I’m having a hard time logging in. there’s also some saving issues that sometimes the server kicks me out of the game, leaving my queued tasks unsaved. If this continues, I might just go back to Farm Town after all.

Pet Society Kitchen Nook

I have some coins stored and I was able to buy new stuff for my Pet. I really love pink that’s why I bought this Limited Edition Cute Pink Light Fittings. It goes well with my Pink Kitchen Work Table, 2 Basic White Dining Chairs and 2 Pink Cups. This pink stuff goes well with my Brown Tile Wallpaper and Beech Floor Boards too. I wish I have a “real” kitchen nook for myself!

Goodbye Michael Jackson

I couldn’t believe the musical superstar King of Pop Michael Jackson already died. He was just 50 years old, too young indeed. His death was much sensationalized, considering it happened last week. We can see and hear news around the world, talking about him and his legacy. The reports said he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is still unknown. For me, it’s really a mystery. Too bad he died early, I believe he can make more good music. I bet there will be a lot of people who will attend his funeral. It’s the death of a legend and we will surely miss him, rest in peace, Michael.
