It’s Over Now

I have been nursing this problem for more than two years now. Actually, I slept at 5:00 am because I was so excited for 1:00 pm to come. Today was our transaction day. Fortunately everything went on smoothly. I was happy and sad at the same time, it has been my problem for a long time and now it’s gone. It was something I wanted to hold on to as long as I can, but I guess I have to let go of it. Maybe it was not meant to be mine. Now I’m back to zero and I have to start all over again. This time I have to make things right.

200 Sit -ups a Day

I really want to lose weight before September 26, 2009, which is Kayrine’s Wedding Day. So today, I decided to have at least 200 sit -ups per day. I used my sisters Ab Rocket to help me with the crunches. I’m not really expecting to lose a lot here, I may not even get thin by doing this. But at least I have something to start with. I also have to reduce my rice intake, which I usually cheat on. Aja! Fighting!

Which One is Real?

While I was rummaging through my old photo album, I saw this stuffed animal’s picture. My friend gave me this cute stuffed dog a few years back. I would play with it the whole day, and even take it to bed with me when I sleep. It was so cute, I wish it was real. This was the last picture I’ve taken from him. I want my “pet” to be remembered and it’s also for his sake. I realized he might get dirty so I kept him in a secured box for safekeeping.

Two years after, my sister brought home a “real pet” from Baguio City. Kenji traveled more than a thousand miles just to be with us and become our newest family member. We love him so much and treated him as our baby. Maybe one day we’ll be able to buy him a female partner. We’re going to have a lot of loving!

Dad’s Birthday

Today is my dad’s birthday. He’s supposed to be 61 years old now. He’s probably having fun and drinking beer with my late grandfathers and uncles. When I was young, I remembered my dad brought home a cute puppy. We were all excited to pet him/her, but our landlady told us she doesn’t want any pet within the vicinity of her home. I don’t remember what happened, all I know is we don’t have the puppy when I woke up the following morning. I bet he’ll be happy to know we have adopted 2 dogs as new family members now. How I wish my dad was still alive. Here’s your favorite Brazo De Mercedes (soft meringue filled with sweet custard) cake! We love you dad!

Off to the Salon

My friend Elizabeth told me this great salon, Tony and Jackey, somewhere in Tomas Morato. Her friend apparently went there for a hair rebonding treatment.

She said it was a Korean Salon and the hairstylists were all Korean. I was hesitant at first, thinking it should be very expensive considering they are foreign stylists. I haven’t really been into those so-called classy salons because I’m very much comfortable with my neighborhood’s cheap ones. But Elizabeth assured me their hair rebonding treatment was the best she’d ever seen.

It was already 3:00 pm when I reached the C.T.T.M. Square (Tomas Morato cor. Timog Avenue, Quezon City). There have so many customers waiting in line so I thought this place was really well-known after all. I was really impressed by the posh design of this salon. They also have a flat-screen TV and a waiting lounge where you can have tea, coffee and water for free. They have Filipino assistants who help in the shampoo and blow dry as well as coating the hair with the hair products.

My stylist was Jerome and he asked to me sit in a “baby chair” (while on top of the stylist’s chair). I wasn’t comfortable sitting that way, the baby chair has no cushion or anything soft to sit on and to think I have to sit that way for almost 3 hours. I asked the assistants if they’ve seen anyone sit on that baby chair before. They said it was their first time to see one. I paid Php1,500.00 for the hair rebonding and gave additional tips for Jerome and his assistant. Even though I had to endure a rough time sitting on the baby chair, I think I was able to get my money’s worth. My hair looks so shiny and straight! I just hope that people will notice my newly rebounded hair tomorrow. Too bad, I won’t be able to look like Eva Fonda anymore!

Anything Goes at Burgoo

It was my mom’s birthday yesterday and we went out for dinner. Of course, we ate at our favorite restaurant, Burgoo. I’m always excited when dining in Burgoo. They have large servings and they always give away free food (if you have a coupon). Too bad my camera ran out of batteries, I wasn’t able to take pictures of what we ordered. I love their Carbonara, that’s why I make it a point to always include that in our menu. We ordered Caesar salad, pizza, pork chops and chicken kebabs. Unfortunately, we can’t order any seafood because my brother is allergic to it. We have to stick with chicken, pork or beef. Well it doesn’t matter because anything on Burgoo tastes good. I will definitely come back for more!

Sunset in Zambales

My family went on a road trip in Subic, Zambales yesterday. We went to my Aunt’s house for a visit. She then took us to Subic Bay and we just sat on one of the benches there and enjoyed the sunset.

Diet 2009

Today I started my no-rice diet. It is very difficult for me to do that because my passion is eating…rice, especially with pork chops and gravy! I just ate crackers the whole day. I know it’s not a good idea to deprive myself of eating when in fact, some people have nothing to eat at all. My tummy is too fat, I must do some sit-ups. I must drink plenty of water. I must not crave for rice. I really HAVE TO reduce weight, otherwise, I won’t be able to fit into the dress for Kayrine’s wedding on September! Also, Biker Guy’s girlfriend was so skinny, how could I compete with her? So good luck to all of us!

My Beloved Shih Tzu and Labraskal

These are our “other” family members. They have been with us for more than three years now. I never really thought we will have our own pets considering our age (me and my siblings were already considered adults). Our pets our very cuddly and they make us happy everyday. They welcome us everytime we wake up in the morning and when we come home from work. They usually wag their tails and climb up to our knees. I can never image life without them anymore. I just hope they can stay alive for a long time.

My Brother’s Birthday

We went to the mall today and we brought our shih tzu, Kenji, to the grooming station. It was his first time to go to a mall. We left him in the hands of the groomer. Kenji was placed near the window and he was really cute! I know he doesn’t want to be left there by himself, but we have to. We ate at Pizza Hut, a pizza and pasta restaurant, oh my favorite! The scent of freshly baked pizza was all over the place and I can’t wait for our orders! At last, after 20 minutes, our orders have arrived. I really love those sausages inside the crust and the meat on top of our pizza (we rarely buy veggie pizza). I also enjoyed their Fettuccine Alfredo, topped with freshly grounded black pepper and hot sauce! My mom had Caesar’s salad by the way, while my bother had a breaded chicken served with rice. After the meal, they headed for the grocery and went shopping, while I went to check out if Kenji was still alive. Fortunately, he was already well-groomed! We went home right away because we’re all tired of walking all day long. I’m also excited to play with Kenji and our other dog, Peachy!

Christmas 2008

Today is Christmas yet it felt like an ordinary day to me. My sister and I just watched television while playing with our dogs. Of course my brother got so addicted to Dekaron, he just played all day (he’s the blurred image sitting behind our dog Kenji)! In the evening, my sister and I cooked Fettuccine Carbonara. This Christmas was very simple for us, no merry-making whatsoever. Our mom cried today, she must have remembered my dad (who died more than 2 years ago due to cancer). She locked herself in her room and when it’s time to eat Noche Buena, only my siblings and I were around the dining table. She said she’s not hungry and she doesn’t want to eat anything tonight. We ate two hours earlier, 10:00 pm to be exact. Nothing much for dinner, we only had pasta and roasted chicken. So after dinner, it’s time to feed the dogs! Our other dog Peachy ate a bowlful of pasta (take note: Pasta, which is one of her favorite dish), while Kenji ate roasted chicken (his favorite). Yes, you read that right, Chicken. We know dogs must not be fed with chicken because its meat is malansa (or having the stench or taste of fish) and may cause hair loss to them. But how could you refuse this cute being’s face asking for chicken? It’s Christmas anyway, so we gave him a small amount of roasted chicken, some pasta sauce and dog pellets. So, is everyone happy? Wahahaha! Merry Christmas to all!

Let me tell you something about myself. Well, i’m just a simple girl who loves internet surfing and playing online games. I find watching movies very relaxing and it can be my schedule for a Friday night! But what’s wrong with staying at home often? At least I get to play with my two dogs! I love my computer more than my mobile phone. Did I mention i’m getting fat due to the long hours of sitting in front of my monitor, wahahaha! Funny how it may sound, but i’m in my late 20’s, single and I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up! Sigh! I’m not a very good writer but I find blogging interesting.
