Facebook Restaurant City

When I opened my Facebook account this evening, my feeds were full of Restaurant City trading requests. What’s the fuzz with Restaurant City anyway? Due to my curiosity with this game, I created a character again. The game was cute, full of small people coming in and out of my restaurant. I didn’t know how the game works but I know that I will enjoy this one too. I googled some tips and tricks about this game and luckily I found some great ones. The secret is to have as many friends as you can. You will receive a new ingredient when you visit a friend’s restaurant for the first time. Now I must choose which menu I should serve, so that I’ll know which ingredients I should trade. I’m adding new people to my friends list now. Maybe that way, I’ll be able to find more ingredients and reach level 10 on at least one menu. Happy cooking!

Angels and Demons Movie in Gateway

My mom had a free invitation to watch at Gateway (Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City) Cineplex 10’s Platinum Cinema. Their first class exclusive lounge makes you think you’re inside a hotel’s (mini) lobby.

The movie theater has 40 La-Z-Boy reclining leather chairs, free popcorn and drinks! The cinema was so huge, we have a little glass table in between our chairs for food and drinks. Together with my sister, it was out first time to watch a movie there. Good thing my mom’s tickets were free, otherwise, we have to pay for it with our own money, not to mention it’s really pricey! When we entered the cinema, it’s almost full. We weren’t able to get the best spot, but still, it’s for free. I reclined my chair a bit and raised my legs up. Oh, this is the life!

Angels & Demons is the most awaited follow-up to the famous “The Da Vinci Code” starring Tom Hanks as Professor Robert Langdon. The movie revolves around the historical site of the Vatican and the discovery of a secret brotherhood, the Illuminati. It’s definitely action-packed that’s why in my opinion, the “The Da Vinci Code” is better.

Last Day of our Barbeque Business

After more than four months of operation and being together everyday, we finally closed our store today. I would like to thank all of our customers and new friends we’ve met. I know you’re all going to miss us. But that’s life. When one door closes, a window opens. Another chapter of our lives have ended and hopefully a new beginning of something good in the future. Now, we can concentrate more on our personal stuff. I just hope for the best!

He’s Just Not That Into You (2009)

This is another chick flick I depressingly watched on a Friday night. What actually caught my attention was the cast, it was almost-star studded. In the story, I wish I could find someone like Ben Affleck, someone who would do anything for his girl because he really loves her. I guess only few men would be like that and I wonder where I could find one!

Boys Over Flowers

After the phenomenal hit Meteor Garden, ABS-CBN brings back the popularity of the story. It is a new Tagalized version of the most awaited Koreanovela of the year, Boys Over Flowers.

I’m so excited about this new version, apart from the first two: Taiwanese (Meteor Garden) and Japanese (Hana Yori Dango). I’ve been reading a lot of feedbacks and most people say this Koreanovela is the BEST adaptation ever! Aside from the four good looking leading men, they really exude the personality and aura of genuine elite sons. Let’s find out how Pinoys are going to love this new game of love and friendship between Goo Jun Pyo and Yoon Ji Hoo!

Koo Hye Sun

Koo Hye Sun as GEUM JAN DI
Because of her love for swimming, commoner Geum Jan Di gets a scholarship at Shin Hwa High. What sets her apart despite her unpopular personality is her courage and optimism. She stands by her principle and willing to take on any blow intended for her friends. And it is also because of this character that she sweeps the arrogant and powerful F4 leader, Goo Jun Pyo is off his feet.

Lee Min Ho

Lee Min Ho as GOO JUN PYO
Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, the mean and arrogant Joon Pyo has always believed that there is nothing that money cannot buy. But all of that changed when he meets Jan Di who teaches him humility and that everyone is equal when it comes to love.

Kim Hyun Joong

Kim Hyun Joong as YOON JI HOO
Grandson of the former President and second member of the F4. He is Jun Pyo’s best friend and Jan Di’s first love. Ji Hoo is musically inclined and can play the violin, guitar, harmonica, piano or conduct symphonies. He epitomizes the prince charming in fairy tales and eventually finds himself falling for Jan Di’s charms.

Kim Bum

Kim Bum as SO YI JUNG
F4’s perennial playboy and a talented potter too. Handsome and gifted with a brilliant smile, Yi Jung has also a knack with sweet words that could make any woman fall for him. Even Geum Jan Di’s good friend, Chu Ga Eul could not escape his charming ways.

Kim Joon

Kim Joon as SONG WOO BIN
The young master of a real estate construction company that owns half of Jeju. Among the members of F4, Woo Bin is the most-skilled and capable that even Jun Pyo would not contest. He keeps the peace among F4 members and protects his friends when trouble looms.

Costume Roleplay in May 2009

My mom and I went to SM North EDSA to meet with my two other siblings for dinner. While strolling along the mall, I saw a bunch of teenagers dressed in “Naruto” outfits. I hurriedly approached them and asked the reason behind their costumes. They said there’s an ongoing costume roleplay “Cosplay” at the Cyberzone.

A fan dresses up with gears or as a specific character, supporting their favorite characters in books, comics, games, movies, shows, etc. and usually joining a large group. Cosplay participants ("cosplayers") may re-enact scenes or invent behavior inspired by their chosen characters.

As soon as I entered the newly renovated Annex building, a hoard of kids dressed up in fancy costumes run around vigorously. I got more excited as I go up the escalator, wondering who else could be there. When I reached the events hall, my face suddenly lit up. There’s a feeling of belongingness, not that I dress up in Cosplays in the past, but because I know I’m in a place where “my” like-minded people gathers. I suddenly reminisced the past when I’m still additively playing this game called Ragnarok Online. Me and my Malabon-friends would meet up and attend these so-called Cosplay events and we would have tons of laughter and so much fun! But today, I’m alone, nonetheless, I’m still so excited. Cosplay has been definitely a fun event for me. The last time I attended such event was like 5 years ago. This time, Cosplay has reached a higher level. The props now are more high-tech and of course, new characters were added. I took pictures of some of the characters I personally know.

Kakashi Hatake (Naruto)

I really love Kakashi and he’s one of my favorite “Naruto” anime characters. When I saw one in a Kakashi costume, I excitedly took a picture with him. In fairness, this guy cosplayer looked really cute too!

Byakuya Kuchiki (Bleach)

Another cute guy was dressed in a Byakuya’s (Captain of the Sixth Division) “Bleach” anime outfit. I believe his costume fits him well. He really looked like a Captain, not to mention his chinito eyes, a common anime drawing style.

InuYasha (InuYasha)

I also saw InuYasha (half-demon) and Kagome Higurashi (human) of the “InuYasha” anime. As far as anime love story is concerned, this must be one of my favorites.

I was really amazed with these robots! They were two of the best costumes in the said event.

Megatron (Transformers)

They were so huge, Megatron can’t fit into my camera! Fortunately I was able to take a full body shot of Optimus Prime. I guess they were made of rubber and paper mache.

Optimus Prime (Transformers)

Their costumes were so heavy, two people helped them put everything together. They also walked slowly and they obviously seldom move. I couldn’t imagine how hot it was inside that costume?!

Both young and adults enjoyed this memorable event and it’s a very great time to share with friends. Cosplayers who go in a pair or group get more attention.

Large groups are usually asked to pose for photos and never cease to make people smile. I admire these cosplayers because they were able to have fun and at the same time, have memorable laughter with their friends. I hope one day I can still give Cosplay a chance.

Kelly Clarkson - Sober

"Sober” by Kelly Clarkson

And I don’t know
This could break my heart or save me
Nothing’s real
Until you let go completely
So here I go with all my thoughts I’ve been saving
So here I go with all my fears weighing on me

Three months and I’m still sober
Picked all my weeds but kept the flowers
But I know it’s never really over

And I don’t know
I could crash and burn but maybe
At the end of this road I might catch a glimpse of me
So I won’t worry about my timing, I want to get it right
No comparing, second guessing, no not this time

Three months and I’m still breathing
Been a long road since those hands I left my tears in but I know
It’s never really over, no

Wake up

Three months and I’m still standing here
Three months and I’m getting better yeah
Three months and I still am

Three months and it’s still harder now
Three months I’ve been living here without you now
Three months yeah, three months

Three months and I’m still breathing
Three months and I still remember it
Three months and I wake up

Three months and I’m still sober
Picked all my weeds but kept the flowers

My Pet Society House’s Main Entrance

I decorated my house entrance (inner side of the house) today and this is how it looks like. Wonderful isn’t it?

There’s no other door in Pet Society that can be bought in the DIY store that looks exactly like this. I bought them one by one and put them together so they would look like a giant door.

I bought two Venetian Windows (© 1,000 each), one Glass Door (© 500), one Arched Window (© 300), two Simple White Doorsteps (© 150 each) and two Elegant Bamboos (© 1,000 each). I hope you liked it!
