Elizabeth’s Crush

We’re chatting in our barbecue stand, and talking about what kind of guys are we searching for. Lindsay wanted a pilot, while I wanted an Engineer or a Lawyer instead. Elizabeth said “Oh, I wanted to marry a doctor” and then suddenly, a really cute guy, dressed in a “medicine-student” uniform passed by. Elizabeth immediately had a crush on him! We were laughing because the guy was like 20 years old only, while Elizabeth was 28. Talk about cradle-snatching here, this guy was way too young for her! We would joke about Elizabeth taking care of all this guy’s needs from tuition fees and everything, like a sugar momma does! But it’s nothing serious, at least Elizabeth has something to look forward too! Wahahaha!

My Brother’s Birthday

We went to the mall today and we brought our shih tzu, Kenji, to the grooming station. It was his first time to go to a mall. We left him in the hands of the groomer. Kenji was placed near the window and he was really cute! I know he doesn’t want to be left there by himself, but we have to. We ate at Pizza Hut, a pizza and pasta restaurant, oh my favorite! The scent of freshly baked pizza was all over the place and I can’t wait for our orders! At last, after 20 minutes, our orders have arrived. I really love those sausages inside the crust and the meat on top of our pizza (we rarely buy veggie pizza). I also enjoyed their Fettuccine Alfredo, topped with freshly grounded black pepper and hot sauce! My mom had Caesar’s salad by the way, while my bother had a breaded chicken served with rice. After the meal, they headed for the grocery and went shopping, while I went to check out if Kenji was still alive. Fortunately, he was already well-groomed! We went home right away because we’re all tired of walking all day long. I’m also excited to play with Kenji and our other dog, Peachy!

Lifehouse - Blind

"Blind" by Lifehouse

I was young but I wasn't naive
I watched helpless as he turned around to leave
And still I have the pain I have to carry
A past so deep that even you could not bury if you tried.

After all this time
I never thought we'd be here
Never thought we'd be here
When my love for you was blind
But I couldn't make you see it
Couldn't make you see it
That I loved you more than you'll ever know
A part of me died when I let you go.

I would fall asleep
Only in hopes of dreaming
That everything would be like is was before
But nights like this it seems are slowly fleeting
They disappear as reality is crashing to the floor.

After all this time
I never thought we'd be here
Never thought we'd be here
When my love for you was blind
But I couldn't make you see it
Couldn't make you see it
That I loved you more than you'll ever know
A part of me died when I let you go.

After all this time
Would you ever wanna leave it
Maybe you could not believe it
That my love for you was blind
But I couldn't make you see it
Couldn't make you see it
That I loved you more than you will ever know
A part of me died when I let you go
And I loved you more than you'll ever know
A part of me dies when I let you go.

Candy was mad!

Candy called me on the telephone today and she was really mad at me and my friends because Stan squealed about our conversation with Vic. I don’t know what “version” of the story she heard, because she said a lot of bad things to me and my friends. She even threatened me about “something” and told me she would tell my mom about it so she can get even. Oh my gas! I’m so f***in’ scared! Candy was like 45+ years old and here she was trying to scare me. Hey Candy, I’m not a kid anymore! Get even? What a crap?! She would even tell me stuff about God and everything, that she prays all the time stuff. Well, if she’s really into that kind of stuff, she should have not threatened me or have thoughts of getting even, right? Because if you know that you have done nothing wrong, you should not worry about it. She wanted me to clear things up with Vic. How the hell would I do that? It has been said already, and that was just a joke! She couldn’t even deny it herself (with Vic) because in her heart, she really liked him so much, to the extent of telling everybody about it. My verdict: Candy was guilty! This will be the last day that I would talk to her, I don’t want to get too much involved with her love life anymore!

Cute Biker Guy

Elizabeth, Lindsay and I were late in setting up our barbecue stand today. We opened 30 minutes after the planned time. Later that afternoon, a cute biker guy, who parked his motorcycle few steps from our barbecue stand, came out from the apartment across the street. He was holding a helmet on one hand and a backpack on the other. What attracted me to look at him was his haircut…he was skinhead. I really love guys who have a clean cut, simple skinhead. For me, it looks so neat and I could see one’s face clearly. I don’t know how long I have been staring at him, I wasn’t even aware I was drooling all over the place! Wahahaha! He went to his bike and cleaned it, he removed the dust particles that got stuck in between the motorcycle parts. I realized he was looking at us, for no reason at all, I felt like he was asking for attention too! He rode the bike, and then his mother (I guess it was his mother because I heard him said “Ma”) came to him and rode the bike too. He kept looking at us, making that cute face again, as if shouting “I know I’m cute, now, look at me!” I have this mixed emotion. I kind of LIKE him (because I find him really cute) and I wanted to be MAD at him (because he’s irritatingly pa-cute) at the same time. By the way, Elizabeth and Lindsay felt the latter. I wonder if he lives there or was just visiting a friend. At least now, I have something (or someone?) to look forward to everyday!

Our new friend Angelo

Today we met Angelo (Vic’s employee). Being a cheerful and funny man made it easier for us (Elizabeth, Lindsay and I) to welcome him in our conversations. He was down to earth, that’s why we were already comfortable with his presence. He bought a lot of barbeque from us, stating that it was his favorite. He was a member of a two-man band, and he was the percussionist. He invited us to his gigs and promised to give us a bucket of San Mig Light in return. We told him we’d go to his gig on Valentine’s Day, since we’re not dating anyone! Oh, how pathetic could that be!

My Dad’s Third Death Anniversary

Into your hands, O Lord,
we humbly entrust our father.
In this life you embraced him
With your tender love;
deliver him now from every evil
and bid him to enter eternal rest.

The old order has passed away;
welcome him into paradise,
where there will be no sorrow,
no weeping nor pain,
but fullness of peace and joy
with your Son and the Holy Spirit
for ever and ever.

Amen.

My neighbor, Vic

Today, I was able to ask my neighbor Vic about how he really felt for Candy. I asked him if he courted Candy. He blurted out a big “NO!” He was somehow mad and confused at the same time. He remembered an old story about his employee, Eddie. According to Vic, Candy has been telling everyone that Eddie courted her, when in fact, Eddie said “It’s not true and Candy was a liar.” We were all laughing about how Vic reacted. Now we know the real story… Unluckily, Candy’s nephew, Stan, was there and he heard the whole thing. We told him not to tell Candy about it, because it will be too embarrassing for her. Stan was laughing also, because he knew that Candy was living in a make-believe world. I just hope things won’t get complicated.

Candy’s comeback…

While Elizabeth, Lindsay and I were busy setting up our barbeque stand, Candy came into the picture. She told my friends about her “allegedly” history with Vic. I told my friends not to listen to her, because it’s just her fantasy. Have you experienced listening to someone tell his/her story, and you’re not interested at all, it makes you so sleepy? Candy thought her stories were so fascinating. Too bad we can’t complain about it. Suddenly, Vic came and checked on his employees. Candy, on the other hand, acted as if she doesn’t know Vic was around and started to flutter her eyelids like a butterfly! My friends and I were laughing, but Candy didn’t know it was her (whom we’re laughing at). She felt so beautiful at that time, we don’t want to steal her moment. Hang on to that dream, Candy!

The Notebook (2004)

I guess this is the mushiest chick flick I’ve ever watched in my entire life! The story is about two young lovers, Allie and Noah, who met one day at a carnival. Allie’s parents disapprove of their relationship and moved her far away from their town. Years later, Allie got engaged to Lon. However, Allie still has feelings for Noah. Despite her commitment for Lon, Allie decides to visit Noah to see how he's doing after seeing his picture in the newspaper in front of a house he said he was going to restore. It soon becomes apparent that they still have feelings for each other. I can’t argue enough…just watch the movie. Wahahaha!

Barbecue, anyone?

We started our barbecue business today. A lot of people bought because it’s something new. As beginners in this kind of business, of course, we still have room for improvement. Many told us that our grill is too shallow, we need to add sand onto it. There’s a construction site near our place, and we asked them (“the construction boys”) to give us some free sand. Of course, who would say NO to 3 beautiful ladies? Wahahaha! Everything was sold out. I wish this is not just a beginner’s luck!

Market, market!

Elizabeth, Lindsay and I were looking for a part-time job to augment our income. Since our work is only until 2:30pm, we decided to open a barbecue stand near my home. We have no competitor, that’s why we think this will be a good idea. So today, we went to the market. We bought pork and also chicken intestines. I haven’t been to a wet market for a long time, because we buy food from the grocery. I really don’t like the wet market, it doesn’t smell nice, the pavement is uneven, there are puddles of who-knows-what and of course, it’s very wet and slippery. We have no choice but to buy there, because it’s more convenient due to its proximity to our homes. But don’t worry, foods bought here are fresh and clean! Good luck to the three of us, we have to do this thing regularly from now on!

Dekaron - Segnale

After weeks of playing Dekaron, my brother and I decided to make a Segnale character. I don’t want to make one, really, because I might not be able to play my Segita Hunter anymore. But it’s inevitable! I bothered to use Segnale because I noticed that this character has the best survivability in the game with its healing power. They also have excellent buffs that give benefits to the entire party. Also, they are most likely to be begged and invited to parties 95% of the time, so leveling up won’t be that hard even though its damage is by extremely low. So my brother used his Vicious Summoner and leeched the Segnale all the way to level 20 in just one sitting! I couldn’t believe how fast the Segnale leveled up compared to my Segita Hunter. Too bad, we only thought of this “leeching technique” these past few days. Somehow, someday, we can use all of our 3 characters in one party. I guess that would be great!

Chris Daughtry - Over You

"Over You" by Chris Daughtry

Now that it’s all said and done
I can’t believe you were the one
To build me up and tear me down
Like an old abandoned house
What you said when you left
Just left me cold and out of breath
I fell too far, was in way too deep
Guess I let you get the best of meeee

(Chorus)
Well I never saw it coming
I should have started running
A long, time agooo!
And I never thought I’d doubt you
I’m better off without you
More than you, more than you know
I’m slowly getting closure
I guess it’s really over
I’m finally gettin’ better
Now I’m picking up the pieces
From spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together
‘Cause the day I thought I’d never get through
I got over you!!!
(End Chorus)

You took a hammer to these walls
Dragged the memories down the hall
Packed your bags and walked away
There was nothing I could say,
And when you slammed the front door shut
A lot of other’s opened up
So did my eyes so I could see
That you never were the best for meee

(Chorus)
Well I never saw it coming
I should have started running
A long, time agooo!
And I never thought I’d doubt you
I’m better off without you
More than you, more than you know
I’m slowly getting closure
I guess it’s really over
I’m finally getting’ better
Now I’m picking up the pieces
From spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together
‘Cause the day I thought I’d never get through
I got over you!!!
(End Chorus)

I never saw it coming
I should have started running
A long, long time agooo
And I never thought I’d doubt you
I’m better off without you

And I never saw it coming
I should have started running
I’m finally getting better
Now I’m picking up the pieces
From spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together
And I got over you!!!
And I got over you!!!
And I got over you!!!

The day I thought I’d never get through
I got over you…

Building Construction for Office Use

Near my house stood an empty building which has stopped operations and supposed to be fully constructed a few months back. From what I’ve heard, it’s due to insufficient funds. Since the building was empty, it has become a place to stay for the homeless while the front part became an extension of a politician’s office. It was like a carpentry shop turned machine shop turned junk shop. You can see the politician’s face printed on the tarpaulins, while scaffoldings are all over the place. Sometimes I would think the building belongs to her. I know in my heart, it belongs to her! Anyway, today, I saw a lot of busy workers trying to get things done. I wonder who will occupy those office spaces.

My neighbor, Candy

When I was still in Grade School, I have a neighbor and her name was Candy. She was the mother of my playmate. Vic (a very rich businessman), on the other hand, was the father of my other playmate. Candy is married, so is Vic, get the picture? Way back then, Candy would tell us stories about our neighbor Vic, whom she had a huge crush on. She said that Vic also liked her and just too shy to tell her. She would giggle while talking, thinking we were so into her made up stories. Everyone in our compound knew about her crazy-mixed-up thoughts. When I reached 4th Grade, her family transferred to a new house somewhere in Quezon City. Today, we saw each other again because she visited her relative, which is my neighbor. She asked me, “How was Vic? I heard he still likes me. I even caught him staring at me.” I just stared blankly at her, I can’t believe what I just heard! For a minute, I was unable to move or talk. Oh my gas! After 18 years, you can still come up with the same old crap?! Move on, girl! I heard from my other neighbor, whose age is almost the same as mine saying, “Candy, until now, you’re still talking about that? It has been ages since you left this place. I don’t understand why that topic won’t die at all! You’re talking as if it was just yesterday. When will it ever end?” Wahahaha! When I heard that, I wanted to laugh so hard, it was exactly what I wanted to say! Candy was just so lucky, I am a polite person. I’m sure she’ll reminisce and tell me her old stories when we get to chat again. I hope I won’t be able to bump into her soon!

The X-Files 2 - I Want to Believe (2008)

The X-Files (TV series) ran for nine seasons on FOX from 1993 to 2002. It’s all about the exploits of FBI agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) as they investigated cases involving matters paranormal and extraterrestrial.

It has been ages since I saw Mulder and Scully together. I loved watching The X-Files when I was in college. I would always rush home or stop everything I’m doing for the sake of Fox Mulder and his beliefs. I always wonder if Mulder and Scully would really end up together in this televised legacy. I just like their chemistry.

In this movie, Mulder and Scully worked as a team to find a kidnapped FBI agent. Their main lead is a former priest who says he’s having psychic visions that relate to the case.
